Women on Missions is an organization of ladies who come together to worship God
and study about mission work all around the world. We here at First Baptist Church of Centerville
invite all ladies to come and be a part of our group. The fellowship is great, the study is informative,
which is followed by a great lunch prepared by our ladies. Come join us! We meet the first Tuesday of each
month in the fellowship hall at 10:00 am.

Sixteen ladies met to hear Norma Threet of the
Leon County Domestic Violence Council speak. Mrs. Threet
said we have the best program in the State of Texas.
We receive no federal money because if we did, they could
not emphasize witnessing for Christ. They are available
at all hours of the day and night to help victims of
domestic violence. The number is 903-322-2399.
Most calls for help come between 12:00 and
3:00 AM. They provide counseling and assistance in removing
victims from a hostile environment.
They are setting up a safe haven called Judy's House in Buffalo
and there is Phoebe's house in Bryan.
Tanya Foster is the director and Norma Threet is the Support
Services Director. Donations to
the work are very much appreciated.
Mrs. Threet provided literature about the program.
After Mrs. Threet spoke, we had our program and prayer for our
missionaries.
A delicious lunch was served and enjoyed by all.
Barbara Bryant, Joyce Houk and Bettie Taylor provided the lunch.
"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12:2

The WOM is sponsoring "Phoebe's Home" for their Christmas project this year.
Many items of personal products, sheets and towels have been donated.
We would like to thank our church family
for such a great response.
Also remember to give to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering,
so the word of God can be taught all over the world.
Our church goal for the Lottie Moon offering is $4,500.00.
Merry Christmas, and keep the "Christ" in Christmas.
