FBC Centerville

What time do church services start?
Our Bible study time, often called Sunday school begins at 9:45am in the fellowship hall. And our church service begins at 11:00am

How are visitors acknowledged? Will you make me stand up and introduce myself?
We never ask you to stand up and introduce yourself, or even raise your hand. We have cards in the back of the seating that you may fill out and put into the offering plate when it is passed. We would love to be able to contact you to see if there are any questions that we may answer for you. Sign up for Right Now media on our Home page.

What happens during the church service?
We sing, worship and praise together. The words to many of our songs are printed on a large screen. We love to greet each other and take time to shake hands and say hello. Our pastor will teach a scripture-based message to apply to our daily living. Each fifth Sunday we generally observe the Lord’s Supper. We have an Open Communion policy, in that, if you are a believer in Christ you are welcome to partake of the elements.

Is there a special class for children?
A nursery is available for birth - 3yrs. During the sermon time, one of our teachers takes the 3-5 year-olds for a children’s sermon (Exception is the fifth Sunday of Each Month). None of these activities is mandatory. (There are also classes for all ages and adults during Sunday School at 9:45am.)

What should I wear?
Most of that is up to you. Men will typically be dressed in pants or jeans and a shirt. Women often wear a a mix of dresses or pants. It’s not really important what you wear. We are just happy for you to be with us and to get to know you

Is there someone I can call if I have more questions?
Yes. Call our church office at 903-536-2302 during regular business hours (Monday to Friday 8:00am to 1:00pm). It will be our pleasure to assist you.

We hope to see you soon!
